Even more wonderful is its intense sweetness and perfect tartness that will surely have you coming back for more!  It is advisable to eat only in the presence of a good supply of napkins since the first bite releases an explosion of juices!  A descendant of Macoun and Honeygold, this giant gem of apples won't last long!  Our limited supply goes quickly. Senshu After a whole winter without a fresh Senshu, we can hardly wait for apple harvest so we can sink our teeth into this sensational apple!  Senshu is a cross between Toko and Fuji.  Similar in flavor to the Fuji apple and the Jonagold apple, its sweet and juicy qualities are rated excellent!  This crisp apple is medium in size, and its sprightly flavor can be enjoyed in fresh salads and eaten fresh from our orchard! Jonagold This green apple has a red blush to it.  It blushes because it knows it is not only beautiful, but also a favorite eating apple!  This Jonathan and Golden Delicious cross shares a perfect sweet and tartness in each bite!  If you are interested in making a sugar free applesauce, this apple is a perfect choice. Red Delicious Red Delicious might fit the bill as 'Old Reliable!'  This apple is cone like in its shape, and sports  five trademark bumps on its bottom.  This crisp fleshed apple was the result of a happy accident, when a seed sprouted in an Iowa Orchard in 1880.  Most recently it has astonished scientists as it ranks #1 for the apple with the most disease fighting antioxidants in its skin, and #3 for the apple with the most antioxidants in its flesh!   (Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, June 29, 2005) Eating

Braeburn Braeburn's first roots sprouted in the soils of New Zealand.  It is suspected to be an open pollinated variety of Lady Hamilton and possibly Granny Smith.  Its complex, sweet tart flavor lingers after a bite and holds nicely when baking and making sauces.  High in vitamin C, this superb apple will keep you reaching for more! Empire It may appear to be a mild mannered apple, but looks are often times deceiving!  This beautifully colored apple is a perfect cross between Red Delicious and McIntosh and tantalizes the taste buds with its great sweet and tart flavor.  This apple is our favorite choice for serving up our caramel apples. Fuji The Fuji claims its origins in Japan.  It made its debut in the USA in 1980 and is currently produced in greater numbers in the USA than in Japan!  This apple has an outstanding texture and spicy flavor.  It's super sweetness and crispness continue to gain the apple more fans.  This apple is an excellent choice for baking as it  holds its texture well. Granny Smith Granny Marie Ana Smith got more than she bargained for when she tossed a mess of French Crabapples out her back door!  Known for its zesty flavor and its keeping qualities, it is an excellent choice for baking.  However,  sour apple fans might argue that this apple is best served up fresh and perhaps topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel.
